This is
the historic Independence Hotel,
Sihanoukville’s first luxury hotel, originally constructed in
the early 1960s under the direction of famed architects and King
Sihanouk himself, A decade ago the Independence was fully restored to its former
glory, with attention to period style. A stay at the
Independence is to live a little piece of Cambodian history.
Luxuriously appointed rooms and bungalows, some of the
rooms in the hotel furnished and decorated with a 1960s mod
flourish. All of the rooms are on the ocean side of the hotel,
the upper floor rooms offering absolutely spectacular ocean views.
Four star facilities including restaurants and bars, swimming pools, gardens,
banquet facilities and more. Independence Hotel even enjoys a
private beach of sorts - a lovely white sandy corner of
Independence Beach.
